Rules of the competition:

• Prints only – colour or black and white.
• Digital entries acceptable but must be printed on photographic paper.
• Photographs must be at least postcard size 10 x 15 cms (4” x 6”) and no larger than A5 15 x 21 cms (6” x 8”)
• Entries must be mounted. If more than one photograph is required for the class then all must be on the same mount. (e.g. ‘Four seasons in my garden’.)
• All entries must be the work of the person submitting the entry.
• Photographs which have won first, second, or third prize in any previous EGC competition may not be resubmitted
• No name or any form of identity of the photographer to be visible to the judges.
• Entries will be judged on:
  • Appropriate and imaginative choice of subject for the specified class
  • Artistic merit
  • Technical merit
  • Presentation
• Entries which do not comply with the class description will be disqualified
• First, second and third places will be announced for each class with prizes awarded for each place
• For each class the prizes will be £15, £10 and £5
